Santanta closed his eyes and leaned his head against the wall. Ama glanced around then asked, "Anyone hungry?"

Ama shrugged when Santanta just remained silent, stepped into the kitchen, and started looking for something to eat.

Santanta looked at Crystal quietly for a moment, then said, "Crystal...?"

Crystal blinked. "Yes..." She rolled up her right sleeve on her shirt, showing the bandages.

Santanta looked at the bandages, then lightly traced the outline of the bandage with his index finger. "I keep hurting you," he whispered, guiltily.

When he touched it, she winced. Then she looked at him. "You're not the one hurting me."

Crystal didn't say anything. She just sighed and leaned back on the wall. After a minute she said to him, "I just don't understand why you keep getting hurt. It's becoming a regular thing now!"

"I got involved with the wrong kind of people when I was younger. Back then it was all just fun, but now it's all catching up to me," he tried to explain.
