Santanta heard them talking a ways away from him, and he headed over there curiously. "Hey, guys." Rave glanced at Santanta, "Hi."

"What are you guys doing?" he asked curiously, sitting down by Crystal.

Rave flicked her ears back in annoyance, "Yea..." Santanta sighed and looked around awkwardly. Brian walked into the spirit forest, sniffing around.

Brian walked up behind Santanta, sniffing at him. Santanta quickly stood up and stepped away, growling. Rave looked at Brian oddly. "Uh, can I help you?" Brian looked up, as if just noticing who was around him.

Crystal looked at Brian oddly, then whispered to Rave, "Have you ever seen this guy before...?"

Rave shrugged, then shook her head and answered quietly, "I don't think so." Brian was the same size as Santanta, same build, and had the same face, the only real difference being that his fur was darker and he didn't have the odd marks and scars like Santanta did. "I'm looking for someone." "Well, it's not me, so don't be sniffing at me like you know me." Brian scowled.

Crystal didn't say anything, she just kept staring at Brian.

"I never said it was you." "Okay, well then get out of here. You don't belong in this territory." "What are you going to do about it?" Santanta growled at that, stepping closer to Brian. As a force of habit, his ears flicked back and he said, "Ok, look, I'm just looking for my mom."

Crystal stood up quickly, glaring at Santanta. She looked at Brian. "Who are you?"

Brian, thankful to have someone talk to him who didn't look like they would try to start a fight, said, "My name is Brian. My moms name is Shina. Is she here?" Rave stayed quiet. Santanta tensed, but said nothing.

"Are you sure? Because her scent is all over the place," he glanced at Santanta, "And tough guy over there reeks of her." Santanta remained quiet.

Brian lowered his head, disappointedly. He sighed and turned to walk off, "Thanks, anyway." Rave looked around awkwardly, "Okay, then..."

"Wait!" Crystal said quickly. "Why are you looking for your mom?"

Brian stopped and turned back around, "I wasn't at first. Then I caught her scent, non-intentionally, and thought I'd try to find her. I haven't seen her sense I was a lot younger, and even then, she wasn't really around much."

Brian looked at them all silently, then mumbled, "I guess I'll be going..." Santanta spoke up, "What does she look like?" Brian perked his ears and turned to the rude wolf, oddly.
