Crystal glanced at Rave, then said, "He probably didn't want you to worry."

"Well now I am worrying. He should have told me." Rave looked around quietly. Then shrugged, "Well, my brother is trying to get him out. I'm sure he'll be fine."

Crystal didn't know what else to say so she stayed silent.

"Well, I suppose I should go. I need to call my uncle." She got up to leave, then turned around quickly and pointed at Crystal, "If anything goes wrong, you call me." Then she turned on her heels and walked out of the room.

Trying to make conversation, Rave asked Crystal, "So, have you had to eat their awful food yet?"

Crystal shook her head. "Nope. Frankly, I'm kinda scared to." She chuckles.

"I would be too." Rave laughed a little then sat back in her seat comfortably.

A nurse came in, bringing in a tray of food for Crystal. It had sliced turkey breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a biscuit. It also had a glass of water. "Just call us when you're done." The nurse said simply and walked out of the room. Crystal stared down at the food. "This doesn't look gross at all."

"Just take a bite of it. You'll change your mind about that quickly," Rave said quickly, then added. "At least it did for me..."

Crystal glanced at Rave, then looked back at her food. She got the fork and poked at the turkey cautiously, then took a hesitant bite. Then her expression brightened. "This isn't so bad." She continued to eat.

Rave's expression grew disgusted and she had to look away while Crystal ate.

Crystal looked at Rave and swallowed, then grinned. "What? What do you have against hospital food?"

"What if they store the dead people in the freezer where they put that meat!? What if that is a human you're eating!" She make a sound as if she was vomiting and continued to look away.

Crystal's eyes widen and she spits out her food on her plate. She looks sick and pushes it away. "You think so...?"

Rave grew silent, unsure what else to say. Then she mumbled, "Enjoy your dead person for dinner..."

Crystal grumbled and moved the tray of food onto the end table next to her bed. "Gee, thanks." She laid back and sighed.

Rave stood up, "I'm going to go buy a chocolate bar or something from the vending machines." She started walking toward the door, then asked, "You want anything...?"

Rave shrugged, "Alright." She walked into the hallway and turned a corner, headed toward the vending machines.

Crystal turned on the TV again and flipped through the channels.

Rave got to the vending machines and looked for what she wanted. SKITTLES! There were skittles sitting on the bottom row and they caught her eye, seeming to have a glow around them when she saw it. Rave quickly stuck in the money for it and pressed the button, the skittles slowly pushing to the end and dropping down into the slot. She grabbed them, then looked around for more.

Crystal stopped flipping through the channels when she found something interesting, then she relaxed and watched.
