"It's alright," he stepped closer to Flash. "You're so different from other girls," he commented.

Flash blushes and looks down, shaking her head, so her hair fell around her face. "Not really," She whispers.

"Sure you are," he put his hand under her chin, trying to lift her head so she'd look at him.

Flash sighs, and looks up, her now completely black hair framing her face.

Blake's eyes were soft, "You're beautiful, you know?"

Flash blinks. "What?" She whispers, thinking she hadn't heard him right.

"You're beautiful," he repeated calmly, moving his hand from her chin, up her jaw line, then lay his palm flat on her cheek as if to hold her face.

Flash blinks again, and shakes her head. "No, I'm not," She whispers. "I'm a scarred mess," She adds under her breath, and steps away.

"No you're not. The scars are nothing more than lines of the past. They don't shape you," his hand fell back to his side.

"Blake, where I grew up, scars show who you are, and what you can do. I have so many scars, I've lost count," She whispers, and shakes her head,, knowing the scars ringing her throat were hidden.

"That's what I see every time I look in the mirror," She mumbles.

"It's how I was raised, Blake. I was raised to be a ruthless killer, not a preppy little lily," Flash replies coldly.

"I never said you were a preppy little lily," he said defensively. "I just said you should think better of yourself.

Blake took a breath, "I'm sorry if I offended you. I just don't think you should be punishing yourself for, as you said yourself, the way you were raised. You have no control over that."
