Rue sighed quietly, looking around at the different people. Since she wasn't paying attention, she ended up walking into someone. She grunted in surprise and backed up quickly, the guy giving her a dirty look while saying rudely, "Hey, watch where you're going." Rue looked away awkwardly and walked around him, not saying anything.

Kyle glanced at the guy and kept walking. "Sometimes the world needs only what he can provide. His absense," he muttered.

Rue nodded simply, glancing back over her shoulder at the man for a moment before looking ahead of her again. She kicked a smashed soda can that was on the ground, watching it skid across the floor boredly.

Kyle smirked as he watched the can, amused. He was high at the moment, so simple things like that seemed funny to him.

Rue started getting an intense achy feeling in her gut, so she quickly pulled out another cigaret from her hoodie's pocket, lighting it.

Kyle eyed her cigarette and asked, "Can I have one?"

Rue nodded and took another one out of her pocket, handing it to him along with the lighter. "That's my last one though.."

Kyle took it gratefully and lit it. He handed her back the lighter and said quietly, "I'll buy you a pack once I've got some money."

Rue shook her head. "It's fine. I can buy it myself.."

Kyle shrugged, took a long drag off the cigarette, stuck one hand in his pocket, and let his hand with the cigarette in it hang to his side. He smiled and blew the smoke out his nose instead of his mouth, watching it momentarily fog his vision.

Rue chuckled as she watched, then stared at the cigaret in her fingers momentarily before taking a long drag. She sighed, watching the smoke cloud the air as she twirled the cigaret in her fingers boredly.

Kyle smiled slightly, watching Rue. He tripped over his shoe lace and stumbled, but quickly caught his balance again.

Rue started laughing. "Real smooth." She took another drag from her cigaret.

Kyle smirked, "At least I didn't face plant the ciment."

Rue grinned. "That would've been funny."

Kyle considered it, then said, "Maybe it would've been funny for 2.5 seconds. Then, it wouldn't be funny anymore."

Rue shrugged. "Unless your brains were all over the floor, I still think it'd be funny."

Rue smiled. "Welcome." She stopped walking and looked around, taking a drag from her cigaret.

Kyle took a few more steps, then paused and turned to face her, unsure why she had stopped walking.

Rue took another drag and breathed out of her nose this time, watching the smoke for a moment before she started walking again.
