Rave gave a small smile. The doctor came back in and smiled, "Are you ready, Rave?" Rave's eyes widened slightly and her heart started beating a little faster, but she nodded. "Yea..."

Leo takes her hands and smiles.

Dr. Richardson smiled and helped Rave up and into a wheelchair, all the while holding onto Leo's hand. The doctor looked at Leo and said, "You can watch through the window, but we can't let you in the room during the surgery."

Leo nods and squeezes Rave's hand.

Finally, Rave let go of Leo's hand and folded her hands in her lap. Dr. Richardson pushed her out of the room and down the hall, gong through several different door until they were in the right place. He looked at Rave and helped her onto the bed thing. He looked at Leo and said calmly, "Wait out here. You can watch, if you wish, through the window right there."

Rave watched Leo silently, nervous. They moved her to the center of the room and had her lay on the bed thing on her stomach, face down. They put a needle in her arm and she slowly started drifting off, going unconscious.

Someone closed the doors and another person dragged a little metal table over, talking with the doctor. They nodded and turned on a light over's Rave's head and got to work...

Leo winces and glances down.

They finished and stitched her head back up. She now had a metal plate in her head from the section of her skull that they took out, and around the stitches her hair had been partially shaved. They bandaged her head up and carefully put her back on the original bed, pushing her out of the room and through the doors.

Leo rushes over and watches Rave.

The doctor's gloves had blood covering them and he pulled them off, dropping them into the trash can. "She'll be asleep for a while longer," he said to Leo calmly. It had been a few hours sense the surgery had began.

Leo nods and pushes her hair away from her face lightly.

Dr. Richardson started pushing the bed back down the hall until they were back in her room, then lifted Rave and put her in her hospital bed carefully.

Leo follows and sits in the chair beside the bed.

The doctor hooked the heart monitor back up to her and the other junk that hospitals use... After a few minutes, he glanced at Leo and said, "We won't know if it worked or not until she's awake." Rave laid there motionless.

Leo nods. "Thank you, doctor," He whispers and takes Rave's hand.

Rave's mouth was partially opened and her heart beat was steady, not the usual slowness that it usually had.

Leo watches and waits patiently.

About an hour later, Rave made an odd noise and opened her eyes, looking around.

Leo grins excitedly and watches her.

Rave looked around, confused. Finally her eyes rest on Leo and she just stared at him, confusion clear on her face.

Leo watches her. "You got the surgery. You came through it fine," He whispers.

Rave got a bit of recognition on her face and nodded. She closed her eyes again, still tired.
