Michael started crying, kicking his legs at the air and flailing his arms around.

Michael stopped crying for a moment when he was picked up, but the crying started up again only after a moment. He kicked his legs, unhappy.

Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring.
And if that diamond ring turns brass,

Papa's gonna buy you a billy goat.
And if that billy goat won't pull,
Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull.
And if that cart and bull turn over,
Papa's gonna buy you a dog named Rover.
And if that dog named Rover won't bark

You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town," She sings softly, rocking him.

Michael stopped crying, watching Morna with half shut eyes. Morna's singing had put Josh to sleep.

Morna puts Micheal down lightly, and turns to Josh. She frowns seeing him asleep, and sighs, poking his shoulder roughly. "Hey," She whispers.
