"Because I'm an idiot," he said simply. Ama quickly walked out and grabbed a mask and two gloves, offering them to Crystal, "You're suppose to wear these."Santanta's face paled as his stomach started feeling weird. His head was pounding.

Crystal looked at the mask and gloves in disdain. "I don't need them. He's not an alien." She said simply.

Santanta bent at the waste, leaning his head near the trash can. He closed his eyes. "That's just reckless, Crystal. They said that what he has could be contagious."

Crystal sighed. "Fine..." She took the gloves and mask and put them on stubbornly.

Santanta gripped at his shirt, next to his stomach. After a moment, he leaned back on the bed again. Ama nodded and went back over to Santanta.

Crystal sighed quietly, looking down at the floor. "You are an idiot sometimes." She said to Santanta in a teasing tone.

Santanta nodded, "I know..." He opened his eyes slightly. The IV in his arm was starting to bug him. Ama picked up her phone.

Crystal went next to his bed, shaking her head slowly.

"What?" he asked, not sure why she was shaking her head. He kept his eyes on Crystal.

His face got paler and his breaths started getting heavier, the slight wheezing coming back. He didn't know what to say.

Crystal put her hand on the side of his face with a worried expression. "You alright?"

Santanta was warm from the high fever he had. Through his heavy but slow breaths, he said quietly, "No."

Crystal pouted slightly, shaking her head in disapproval.

Ama looked up as a nurse walked in. She also had the gloves and a face mask on as she walked over to the monitor by the side of the bed. "Head still hurt?" "Yes," he said quietly, looking at the nurse. "What about your stomach?" "Feeling like it's been turned inside out and stuffed through a paper shredder." "Well, that doesn't sound comfortable," the nurse looked concerned. "Though, I don't think I've ever had my stomach through a paper shredder, so..." Santanta smiled at that.

Crystal stepped back slightly. She didn't find that funny at all.

"A nurse with humor. Maybe my stay here won't be so bad," Santanta was still smiling, though his voice was quiet. The nurse returned the smile, but said, "Sorry, I'm only here for today. You get someone else tomorrow." "Great," he commented flatly. The nurse put the oximeter on his finger and looked at the monitor for a minute. "Alright. You're suppose to take these. It should help your stomach." She handed him the pills and a small cup of water. Santanta looked at it dangerously. "Do I have to?"

"If you want your stomach to stop hurting, then I would suggest it." She said to him simply.

The nurse nodded, agreeing with Crystal. Then she added, "And if you don't, I could lose my job." Santanta sighed and took the two pills, then quickly put the cup down on the table thing. He hated medication.

Santanta coughed a throaty cough(?). He leaned his head back and nodded. The nurse sighed and walked toward the door. "If anything happens, there's an emergency, you have questions... Anything, just press the button on the side of the bed." She left the room.

Crystal rubbed the back of her head with her hand, looking around awkwardly.

Santanta's eyes began to roll back in his head. Ama got up quickly. "Santanta?" His eyes opened again and he focused on something on the wall, "What?" Ama sighed with relief and sat back down in the chair.

Santanta began drifting off to sleep. Then he opened his eyes again and looked around. Eventually his eyes focused on Crystal and he said, "It's late. You've got that interview in the morning." He breathing had gone back to normal for the moment. Ama watched him.
